The  English translation and the extension of the Latin text are the work of Frank Thorn, and he has provided extensive discussion of his approach, philosophy and conventions in preparing the text and translation in the documents below. Please note that these express the views of their author. The reader should also be aware that they make reference to the text in its semi-diplomatic form.
